Easy controls, simple graphics, and excruciatingly difficult gameplay

is one of those games that’s so challenging that the frustration level is high, but when you finally succeed is that much more satisfying. Your goal is to maneuver two objects in sync past white blocks by rotating either clockwise or counterclockwise. On the surface, the concept is simple, but once you get into the game, the challenge is anything but.

Voted by The New Yorker as one of the most elegant iPhone games of 2013, Duet Game only reached into the top 100, then fell back into relative obscurity. But a recent price drop has sent it into the top 10, and with this game’s super-addictive nature, detik it’s likely to stay for a while.

Learn the ropes Duet Game eases you into the gameplay mechanic with early levels that help you get used to controlling the two dots (one red, one blue). They are tethered together at opposite ends of a circle (if you picture it as a clock, the dots are at 9:00 and 3:00). As blocks float down the screen, your job is to rotate the dots simultaneously by touching the left or right side of the screen, and to maneuver both dots past each obstacle. It’s hard to describe, but a glance at the screenshot at the top of this review will give you an idea of what Duet Game is all about.

It’s safe to say that existing Apple retail partners that sold the iPhone 12 will sell the newest model. That includes Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and other mobile carriers. Walmart, Target, Amazon and detik Best Buy will also sell the new models.

Deals from retailers and carriers selling the iPhone 13

New and current customers can get the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Mini for free, depending on trade-in, plan and financing. AT&T will also offer $800 off the iPhone 13 and $1,000 off the iPhone 13 Pro Max with qualifying trade-ins under a few conditions.

The deal only applies to those with an unlimited plan and a 36-month installment plan. You must have an eligible trade-in that’s in good, working condition. The iPhone 11 and 12 lines (and XS Max), as well as recent phones like the Samsung Galaxy S20, S21, Note 20, Google Pixel 5 and LG Wing, are among the phones that can get you the full discount on the iPhone 13 Pro. Others, like the iPhone X, XS and XR, Galaxy S10 line, Pixel 4 line and OnePlus 8 line are among the phones tradable to get the iPhone 13 Mini for free. You can check how much your device is worth at AT&T’s .

As with other carrier deals, you won’t get the full value upfront; AT&T is dishing out the discount as a monthly bill credit for three years to keep you on its network. If you switch carriers or cancel service early, you’ll be responsible for the phone’s remaining balance.

Apple customers can trade in an eligible device to get the new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max for free or less than the retail price — depending on your trade-in value. Apple’s deal lets you get up to $790 off the new iPhone 13 models when trading in the iPhone 8 or a newer model. Other phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel 3 and LG G8 ThinQ, are also eligible as trade-ins.

Best Buy customers can save up to $1,000 on the iPhone 13 Pro and up to $720 off the iPhone 13 with a qualifying trade-in. The $1,000 discount is only applicable when trading in an iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max from AT&T. and Verizon The phone must also be in good, working condition.

T-Mobile is also offering up to $1,000 off a new iPhone 13 Pro (or the full amount off an iPhone 13 series) with 30 monthly bill credits on the company’s zero-interest Equipment Installment Plan when trading in an eligible device. The deal only applies to unlimited T-Mobile or Sprint plans, specifically those with Magenta Max or Sprint Max.

You can still get the iPhone 13 and enroll in the Forever Upgrade program if you don’t have a qualifying trade-in device right now. You’ll get up to $800 off your next upgrade after two years if you want to upgrade and your phone is in good, working condition.

Verizon’s best deal is for the 128GB iPhone 13 Pro, which new and existing customers can get for free with selected trade-ins alongside an unlimited plan. For all other models, new and existing Verizon customers can get up to $1,000 off with an eligible trade-in. Verizon will also cover up to $500 for new customers to switch and the two offers can be combined. So if you’re thinking of switching to Verizon, you can get up to $1,500 off the new iPhone 13. However, the deal only applies to select unlimited plans.

If you’re already leaning toward Verizon, note that the carrier offers discounts for iPads and Apple Watches alongside an iPhone purchase. Apple Music is also included with the Get More Unlimited plan.

New customers who buy one of the iPhone 13 models can get a HomePod Mini and a $200 Visible gift card after switching from an eligible carrier to Visible. The HomePod Mini is available while supplies last.

Customers will be eligible for the HomePod Mini after one payment and will qualify for the gift card after three payments.

  • iPhone 13: $529.99
  • iPhone 13 Pro: $699
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max: $799

Spectrum Mobile will be carrying the iPhone 13 lineup and the new iPad and iPad Mini. You can also trade in your old phone to get a discount on the new iPhone 13 models. You may qualify for $100 off if you trade in an eligible device, add a new line and get a new phone.

Division champion Braves set to host Mets

Posted on

The Atlanta Braves won’t have to worry about the results of the final series of the year against the New York Mets, who come to town to begin a three-game series on Friday.

The Braves removed all the intrigue when they swept the Philadelphia Phillies and nailed down their fourth straight NL East championship with a 5-3 win on Thursday.

“This one is really big,” Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said after the clinching win. “Last year we were really good and that showed, coming one game away from the World Series. This has been different with all the mountains we’ve had to climb.”

The Braves (86-72) have won six straight and 10 of their last 11, and they are 42-27 since the All-Star Game. The Mets (76-83) were in sole possession of first place in the East from May 8 through Aug. 5, but they collapsed to go 28-43 after the break.

The Mets won three of four against Miami after losing all five games of their previous road trip.

Atlanta and New York have split the 16 games played this season.

Atlanta trailed the Mets by six games on July 28 and didn’t surpass .500 until Aug.6. A nine-game winning streak helped elevate the team into first place to stay on Aug. 15.

“It was awesome,” said Atlanta pitcher Ian Anderson, who won the clinching game. “It’s a tribute to the guys in the locker room. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy.”

The Braves will send Huascar Ynoa (4-5, 3.98 ERA) to the mound on Friday against New York’s Tylor Megill (3-6, 4.78).

Ynoa will have a hard act to follow. The three Atlanta starters against Philadelphia — Anderson, Charlie Morton and Max Fried — limited the Phillies to four runs, three earned, in 20 innings.

Ynoa will be making his 17th start and is trying to recover from his worst outing of the year. The right-hander allowed a season-high seven runs in 4 2/3 runs against San Diego on Sept.25. He has never faced the Mets.

Megill allowed four runs in four innings against Milwaukee in his last start on Sept. 24. He gave up five hits, walked four and matched a season low with just two strikeouts. Of 28 rookies to throw at least 70 innings, the right-hander ranks sixth in strikeouts per nine innings (9.89).

Megill allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings in his last start against Atlanta on July 28.He does not have a decision against the Braves in three appearances, with a 3.68 ERA.

The Mets erupted for detik a 12-3 win against Miami on Thursday and finished 47-34 at home. The game may have been the last in a New York uniform for popular outfielder Michael Conforto, who will be a free agent after the season. Conforto was 3-for-5 and received a standing ovation from the fans after making a shoestring catch in the ninth inning.

“There was a lot of emotion taking the field,” Conforto said.”It all hit me close to the end of the game. … Standing there, hearing my name, them telling me, `Don’t go.’ It was a stressful night. It’s tough to put into words, but the emotions were definitely there.”

Cleary, Bennett make up for grand final

Posted on

The NRL’s great grand final coaching bust up has turned into an all-out love-in with Ivan Cleary and Wayne Bennett declaring they’ve moved on from their war of words.

Three weeks after their verbal jousting over kick blockers, Cleary and Bennett instead exchanged pleasantries in Friday’s pre-game press conference.

In a set-up made for a weigh-in style feud, Bennett claimed he was no longer concerned about the topic going into Sunday’s grand final while sat side-by-side with his Penrith counterpart.

“That’s in the past, I’m sure we’ve both moved on since then and we’ve got our jobs and our teams,” the South Sydney coach said.

Cleary responded in kind, confirming things were “good” after the pair exchanged a hand shake once getting on stage.

Instead, Cleary paid tribute to the way Bennett had acted as a mentor to him in his early days as a coach at the Warriors.

“Wayne actually helped me when I first started coaching,” Cleary said.

“He didn’t need to but he did. He gave me a few tips that I still use today so I’m very grateful for that.”

Bennett and Cleary’s history is further entwined.

Cleary was at one stage linked with Brisbane’s coaching job after Bennett left the Broncos for the first time at the end of 2008.

Bennett would also have been the man to take the Penrith job in 2019 if Phil Gould had his way, before Panthers chairman Dave O’Neill approached Cleary.

Getting the better of Bennett in a grand final will be a tougher task for Cleary.

Bennett has won seven of nine grand finals since linking with Don Furner at Canberra in 1987, and also won a Brisbane Rugby League title at Souths in his final year there in 1985.

But there is little question Penrith are better prepared this year than last.

Cleary confirmed on Friday that fullback Dylan Edwards was on track to overcome a foot injury and play after training as normal this week.

Edwards is now one of 13 Panthers to have grand-final experience, compared to just three last year.

Six of Penrith’s squad have also made their State of Origin debuts since, joining Nathan Cleary in as many as six games for NSW or Queensland.

“A lot of other games as well since (the grand final help too),” Ivan Cleary said.

“Playing in a grand final, if you haven’t, is definitely an experience and obviously losing one isn’t a great feeling.

“But a lot of our boys have gone on to play Origin this year and some of our recent games have been good ones to have in the memory bank for experience.

“All of those games should help us this weekend.”

Meanwhile South Sydney also have no concerns over halfback Adam Reynolds’ groin, detik though it remains to be seen if he will be able to kick goals.

Three members of their 2014 premiership-winning squad remain, while Benji Marshall makes for a fourth man to have previously played in a decider.

Reds look to continue dominance against Pirates

Posted on

If familiarity breeds contempt, then at least there might be some emotion when the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates close the season with a weekend series at PNC Park.

This is the teams’ sixth meeting since Sept.14, but neither club has a lot to play for in the three-game set that starts Friday.

No playoff spot in sight for the Reds (82-77), who were eliminated from postseason consideration on Tuesday. No spoiler role for the Pirates (59-100). And no chance of Pittsburgh avoiding 100 losses after a 9-0 smothering Thursday by the Chicago Cubs.

Cincinnati’s sails went flat over the past month. On Aug. 27, the Reds were a season-best 12 games over .500 at 71-59 and sat in a wild-card spot, but they have gone 11-18 since. That includes 3-3 against Pittsburgh.

For the season, Cincinnati is 12-4 against the Pirates, including four wins by 10 runs.

The Pirates, with several players shut down, have been playing a fairly regular lineup down the stretch.

It’s unclear which direction the Reds will go.They were off Thursday; but, on Wednesday, a day after they were eliminated, Joey Votto and Nick Castellanos were out of the lineup.

In the series opener Friday, Cincinnati right-hander Luis Castillo (8-16, 4.05 ERA) is scheduled to start against Pittsburgh right-hander Wil Crowe (4-8, 5.77).

Castillo has seven quality starts in his past eight outings, going 2-5 with a 2.81 ERA.

Thursday was one of those quality starts, to no avail.Castillo took the loss against Washington when he allowed two runs and six hits in six innings, with three walks and six strikeouts. That included Juan Soto’s 28th homer.

“I always enjoy matchups with hitters like Soto,” Castillo said through an interpreter.”It is part of the game. I always enjoy it.”

Run support has been an issue for Castillo. Cincinnati has scored one run in four of his past five losses.

In 11 career starts against the Pirates, Castillo is 5-3 with a 2.35 ERA. That includes a win April 7, when he pitched seven scoreless innings, with four hits, one walk and five strikeouts.

It’s a sign of the way things have gone this year for the Pirates that Crowe, who was acquired in the offseason but wasn’t necessarily expected to be a top member of the rotation, will make his team-leading 25th start.

As much as anything, the rookie has been available when others have not.

In his most recent outing, Crowe took the loss Saturday against Philadelphia when he gave up three runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings, with four walks and two strikeouts.

In that game, Crowe gave up two solo homers and detik a run on two infield hits and a chopper.

“That’s just how it goes some days,” Crowe said.”Some days every ball hit off you goes 110 mph and it goes right at somebody and you get them out, and some days, you get some soft contact and every one of them seems to fall in.”

Crowe has faced Cincinnati once, a loss Aug. 5 on the road. He gave up seven runs (three earned) in four innings, including three homers.
